Located in the municipality of Tassoultante, along the picturesque Route de l’Ourika, you will discover a collection of 16 architect-designed villas with 4 to 5 bedrooms, set on landscaped plots ranging from 900 to 1321 square meters. These plots are adorned with Mediterranean flora and artfully arranged by a landscape designer. This unique development is perfectly integrated into its environment, respecting nature and its local heritage, while harmonizing with the surroundings.
On the outskirts of Marrakech, between city and nature, proximity and tranquility, we were given the opportunity to envision a small collection of modern villas that are intimate, welcoming, and surrounded by greenery. The developers granted us the freedom to unleash our creativity, with the only limitations being the urban planning and administrative rules of the site. Our approach was to respect the place and its context by intervening in a surgical and reasoned manner. The architectural thinking naturally focused on functionality and aesthetics tailored to the purpose at hand – creating beautiful homes that offer a pleasant living environment, combining environmental performance with user comfort.
The overall architecture consists of three volumes, with two similar volumes revolving around a taller central volume. The composition of flat roofs, varying heights, and the arrangement of windows further accentuate rhythms and offsets, creating intriguing interplays of light and shadow. This is complemented by dynamic lines and color variations. The resulting architecture is simultaneously simple and efficient, respecting the conventions of the surrounding constructions (materials, symmetries, proportions) while adding audacity and creativity. This is the essence of the project that is presented to you.
